The production time for these special items is usually around 8 weeks.

We kindly ask for your understanding of this processing time, which is necessary to ensure the greatest care and precision in creating your unique memorial piece.

Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ's

Shipping & Safety

Is it safe to send cremation ashes from countries within the European Union?

In many EU countries, it is legally permitted to send a small amount of cremation ashes by post, provided it is done with care.

However, there are important exceptions:
👉 We do not accept shipments of cremation ashes from Germany, Austria or France.
In these countries, it is legally forbidden to send or even keep cremation ashes at home for use in memorial items.
You are welcome to order a blank memorial piece from these countries and fill it yourself.

For shipments from other EU countries:

Although sending ashes is legal in many places, most carriers (postal and courier services) do not officially allow cremation ashes under their shipping terms.

That’s why shipping is always entirely at your own risk.
We cannot be held responsible for loss, delay or damage during transport.

After placing your order, you will receive:

  • The recipient address in the Netherlands

  • Clear instructions on how to safely package the cremation ashes

  • Personal support by email, so you know exactly what to do

We ask you to follow these packaging steps:

  • Use no more than 2 teaspoons of cremation ashes per item

  • Place the ashes in a leak-proof grip-seal bag, seal it well, and place it inside a second grip-seal bag for extra safety

  • Use a sturdy, neutral bubble envelope or small box

  • Do not write any content-related details on the outside of the package

  • Always send with tracking (track & trace)

  • Declare a shipment value of less than €1, as cremation ashes have no commercial value

⚠️ Important:
If you declare a higher value, we are legally required to pay 21% VAT on that amount when receiving your parcel in the Netherlands.
This extra cost will be invoiced to you afterwards.

Before sending, we strongly recommend:

  • Ask your local postal service or courier about the rules
Shipping regulations for cremation ashes vary by country and carrier.
You are responsible for correct international shipping to the Netherlands.

⚠️ Please note:
We do not provide shipping labels for international shipments.
You must arrange shipping yourself.
We cannot reimburse shipping costs, even if the package is lost, delayed or rejected by customs.

In the United States, it is legally allowed to send a small amount of cremation ashes abroad, for example to be used in a memorial piece.

However, it’s important to note that most carriers do not officially accept cremation ashes,
and that customs procedures for shipments to Europe require special care.

🚚 Shipping is always at your own risk.
We cannot be held responsible for loss, delays or customs-related issues.

🇺🇸 For shipments from the United States:

After placing your order, you will receive:

  • The shipping address in the Netherlands

  • Clear instructions for how to safely package the ashes

  • Personal guidance by email, so you’ll know exactly what to do

Please follow these packaging instructions:

  • Use no more than 2 teaspoons of cremation ashes per item

  • Use a neutral, sturdy bubble envelope or small box

  • Do not write anything about the contents on the outside of the package

  • Always choose a shipping method with tracking

📄 Customs form and declared value:

  • Fill out a customs declaration form (CN22 or CN23)

  • Use a neutral description, such as: “glass item”

  • Never write “ashes” or “cremains” – this may cause delays or refusal

  • Always declare a value of $1 or less (ashes have no commercial value)

⚠️ If you declare a higher value, we are legally required to pay 21% VAT in the Netherlands, based on that amount.
This extra cost will be invoiced to you afterwards.

ℹ️ We strongly recommend checking with your postal service or courier before shipping.
Rules vary by provider, and you as the sender are fully responsible for safe and correct delivery to the Netherlands.

⚠️ Important: We do not provide a shipping label for shipments from the United States.
You must arrange shipping yourself using a service of your choice.
Shipping costs are your responsibility.
If your package is lost, delayed or rejected, we unfortunately cannot offer compensation.

Within the Netherlands, it is legally allowed to send a small amount of cremation ashes by post, as long as it is packaged securely.

However, it’s important to note that most postal carriers – including those in the Netherlands – officially do not allow cremation ashes in their general shipping terms and conditions.

This also applies to DHL, which we use as our standard shipping method.

Therefore, shipping always takes place entirely at your own risk.
We cannot accept responsibility for loss, delays, or damage during transport.

After placing your order, you will receive:

  • A shipping label for DHL letterbox package service

  • Clear instructions on how to safely package the cremation ashes

  • Personal support by email, so you’ll know exactly what to expect

How we ask you to package the ashes:

  • Use a neutral, sturdy bubble envelope or small box

  • Do not write any content-related information on the outside of the package

⚠️ Important:
While we provide a DHL shipping label for your convenience, you as the sender remain fully responsible for the contents, packaging and shipment.
DHL does not officially accept cremation ashes according to their shipping policies.

We clearly inform you of this before placing your order so that you can make an informed choice.

We follow this method because it offers:

  • The correct return address clearly printed on the label

  • Step-by-step packaging instructions

  • Transparent information about risks and your options

This process has been specifically developed to make it easy and safe for you.

You don’t need to figure things out on your own – we’ll send everything you need, based on years of experience.

Prefer to deliver ashes in person?

You’re welcome to bring the ashes to our secure company mailbox at:

📍 Hoogakker 2E, 5527 AE Hapert

Please email us in advance.
Once we have received your parcel, you will – just like with postal delivery – receive a personal confirmation email.

On request, we can send you a photo showing the moment your envelope is placed in our secure mailbox – for peace of mind.

For orders shipped within the Netherlands:

Any remaining ashes are always returned to you along with the completed memorial item.
They are carefully packed in a sealed grip-seal bag.

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: FOR ORDERS FROM OUTSIDE THE NETHERLANDS, REMAINING CREMATION ASHES WILL NOT BE RETURNED.

WE DO NOT SEND BACK LEFTOVER CREMATION ASHES FOR INTERNATIONAL ORDERS.
This is a deliberate and necessary choice to minimise risk and protect your memorial piece during transport.

Why not?

  • 🔸 Customs authorities may confiscate or delay the parcel

  • 🔸 There is a real risk of loss or damage when shipping cremation ashes internationally

  • 🔸 Your completed memorial could be held or returned if ashes are included in the return package

➡️ That’s why we NEVER return leftover ashes for international shipments.
This way, we avoid heartbreaking issues and protect what truly matters: your memorial.

What happens to the remaining ashes instead?

We store the remaining ashes safely for 6 months in our studio.
During this period, you’re welcome to request an additional memorial piece using the remaining amount.

After 6 months, any unused ashes are respectfully and personally scattered by me in a serene, natural area in the south of the Netherlands – a peaceful place I return to often for this purpose.

This is done with full respect and care.

Would you like confirmation once the ashes have been scattered?

You may request a written confirmation and photo by postal mail only.
To do this, you must include a clearly written note inside the same package that contains the cremation ashes.

📌 Important requirements:

  • The note must clearly state that you are requesting a photo confirmation of the scattering

  • This request must be physically included in the same parcel as the ashes

  • Emails, phone calls or separate messages sent outside the parcel will not be processed

  • ⚠️ Including only your name and order number is not enough – this is part of the standard protocol

We can only honour your request if it specifically mentions the desire for a photo after scattering, and is included inside the parcel with the ashes

✉️ Please include the following in your handwritten note:

  • Your full name

  • Your phone number

  • Your email address

  • Your order number

  • And the sentence:
“Please send me a photo confirmation after the scattering of the remaining ashes.”

⚠️ We do not process scattering photo requests made by email or phone.
Only written, physical requests included in the same package as the ashes will be accepted.

Unfortunately, no.
In some countries, it is legally prohibited to send cremation ashes or even keep them at home – even in small amounts.

We follow the legal regulations of each country, and therefore do not accept shipments of ashes from the following countries:

  • Germany

  • Austria

  • France

You may, however, order an empty memorial piece from these countries and fill it yourself.

From other countries, shipping may be allowed if:

  • You are located in an EU country, and you follow the shipping and customs rules

  • You are shipping from the United States, and you comply with local shipping and customs laws

  • You are shipping from outside the EU, and you follow local shipping and customs regulations

Please note:
Even if sending ashes is legal in your country, carriers may still not accept them in their general terms and conditions.

Most postal and courier services exclude cremation ashes from their standard shipping policies.

That’s why we always recommend checking with your local post office or courier.
They can tell you whether it’s allowed and how to send your parcel safely to the Netherlands.

Summary:

  • Shipping ashes is always at your own risk

  • We provide shipping advice and customs form guidance

  • We are not liable for loss, delay, or refusal by carriers or customs

Sending hair is allowed in all countries

Sending a lock of hair is legally permitted in virtually every country.
Carriers do not consider hair to be a restricted or regulated substance.

You can safely send a lock of hair in a sealed grip-seal bag, placed in a sturdy envelope or small box.

  • Even from Germany, Austria or France, you may send a lock of hair

  • You do not need to declare a value or describe the contents

⚖️ Legal note:

The information on this page has been carefully compiled based on general international shipping laws and real-world experience.

However, no legal rights can be derived from this information.
We recommend that both EU and non-EU customers check local laws and shipping rules in their country, region or province before sending.

Each sender is fully responsible for correct and safe shipping, including compliance with all local legal requirements.

That’s a very understandable and important question.
Your memories are irreplaceable – and we never forget that.

That’s why we follow a strict care protocol:

  • Each parcel containing ashes or hair is immediately labeled upon arrival with your name and order number.

  • Processing only begins per individual order – never together with other orders.

  • The materials are kept in a sealed, separate container until the moment of processing.

  • Your name and order number remain clearly visible in the workspace throughout the entire process.

You’ll receive an email notification once we have received your parcel.
When your memorial piece is ready, we’ll let you know again before it is shipped.

This way, we keep you informed every step of the way.

Because I personally – as the maker – handle all ash and hair processing in my own studio,
no part of this process is ever outsourced to anyone else.

You can rest assured that your ashes or lock of hair is in safe, respectful hands.
Throughout the entire process, I work with the utmost care, hygiene, focus and compassion.

Some customers choose to send along a personal note or photo of their loved one.
This is entirely optional, but if you do, I always take a quiet moment to reflect on that person.
For some, it brings comfort to know that even during the making process, their connection is felt.

No step is ever rushed.
This work is deeply meaningful – for you, and also for me.

And again: if you’d rather not send ashes or hair by post,
there are options to fill certain designs at home – I’ll be happy to explain them to you.

Please don’t hesitate to ask.

We also offer hollow memorial products that you can fill yourself at home.
This applies to a wide selection of urns, mini-urns, memorial figurines, and certain types of jewellery.

Feel free to contact us for all available options that do not require you to send ashes.

In many cases, yes – depending on the item you’ve chosen.

Our collection includes memorial jewellery, urns, mini-urns and figurines.
Some are processed in our studio, while others are specifically designed to be filled at home.

If you choose a self-fillable item, you will receive no glue, but you will receive:

  • A filling set for Willow Tree figurines and selected urns

  • A funnel for small urns (not all urns require a funnel to be filled)

  • A closure or sealing cap

  • Step-by-step instructions on how to safely and respectfully open, fill, and close the piece

  • Personal advice on which closure is best suited – for example, a screw cap or transparent jewellery glue (available at pharmacies or hardware stores)

⚠️ Please note:

  • Not every item is suitable for self-filling.
Some pieces are specifically designed for permanent processing, where the material is sealed by hand or in the flame.

  • Not sure if your chosen item is self-fillable?
👉 Feel free to contact us – we’re happy to help you choose the right option.

Prefer to have it professionally filled in our studio?

That’s also possible.
We offer a careful, respectful in-house processing service.
You only need to send a small amount of cremation ashes or a lock of hair.

⚠️ Before shipping, please read our shipping instructions carefully.
These explain exactly how to safely and respectfully pack your materials – including tips on dealing with international carriers and how to avoid delays or loss during transport.

📦 Sending cremation ashes or hair is always at your own risk.
We cannot accept liability for delays, loss or damage during transport.

Ordering & Adjustments

Can I show or discuss something first before placing an order?

Absolutely – you’re more than welcome to.
Because every memorial item or urn is highly personal, we fully understand that you may want to talk things through or see an idea first before making a final choice.

Perhaps you already have a specific design in mind, a keepsake you’d like to combine, or you’re hesitating between different colours, styles or symbols.
You’re welcome to send us your ideas or preferences by email – including photos or a short description. We’ll be happy to explore the possibilities with you, including materials and design options.

This way, you’ll know exactly what’s possible, and together we can create a memorial piece that truly fits you.
Feel free to reach out – we’re happy to take the time to listen to your story.

After placing your order, you will automatically receive a confirmation email.
Then – depending on the product you ordered – we will send you a personal follow-up email with additional information.

This email may include:

  • Instructions on how to safely pack and send cremation ashes or a lock of hair

  • A request for your personalisation details (such as a name or text for the urn or jewellery piece)

  • A summary of the next steps in the process

This personal email is carefully written by hand and may take up to 48 hours to arrive – especially during weekends, public holidays or when our studio is temporarily closed due to personal circumstances.
(This is rare, and we always aim to stay within that timeframe.)

As soon as your parcel with ashes or hair has arrived,
we’ll personally confirm this by email.
Please note: this confirmation can take up to 24 hours, as each parcel is carefully checked and registered.
(This is important to us – we want to be 100% certain and precise when it comes to such meaningful materials.)

Once everything has been safely received and checked,
we will keep you updated on when your memorial item will be ready to ship.
This entire process is done with the utmost care, respect and attention –
from the moment we receive your parcel to the moment it returns safely to you.

Do you have questions or want to discuss something? Feel free to contact us – we’re happy to take the time to listen to your story.

As long as your order has not yet entered the production process,
you can cancel or modify it without any problem.

Please note: cancellations or changes must always be made in writing by email and are only final once confirmed by us.

We offer a 24-hour grace period after your order.
Within this timeframe, you can cancel or change your order free of charge –
as long as production has not yet started.

Important to know:
After these 24 hours – or once production has started – cancellation or changes may no longer be possible.
This also applies to items with standard personalised features, such as a name or symbol in sign-foil (e.g. a butterfly) or etched in glass.
From that point onward, your memorial item is already in production and being custom-made.

If you’ve chosen a fully custom design and we’ve started working on it together,
then cancellation or changes are still possible up until the moment we’ve confirmed your final choices and production has officially begun.

Not sure or want to make a change?
Feel free to email us as soon as possible – we’re happy to think along with you.

Processing time for your memorial item
Once we’ve received the cremation ashes or lock of hair, your memorial jewellery or keepsake is usually handmade and ready to ship within 8 working days.

Personalised urns, for example with a name or image in sign-foil, also have a typical processing time of 8 working days. These pieces are carefully made to order.
During busy periods, it may take a little longer – if so, we’ll always let you know.

Would you prefer to cancel your order if the processing time is longer than expected?
That’s possible, as long as we haven’t started production. In that case, cancellation is free of charge.

For custom-designed pieces made in collaboration with other glass artists, a longer processing time applies.
These items usually take around 8 weeks, depending on the design and the planned glasswork sessions.

Return Policy – AshesMemorials.com

AshesMemorials.com is all about care, craftsmanship, and your personal memory. Each memorial item is handmade and custom-made. Because almost all of our products are personalized, adjusted return conditions apply.

Personalized products and the law

According to Dutch law (Article 6:230p of the Civil Code), personalized or custom-made products are excluded from the standard right of withdrawal. This means they cannot, in principle, be returned.

In certain cases, I may be able to offer a suitable solution

I understand how important trust is when choosing a commemorative item. That’s why I offer – within reasonable limits – the option to return certain products.

Returns – Memorial Items

Although many of our products are custom-made, we do – where possible – offer the option to return certain items under the following conditions:

Items that have not been used and are decorated only with sign-foil or photo sign-foil, such as:

  • Empty urns (including those with a name or image in foil)

  • Memorial jewellery or figurines that have not been filled or worn

You have 14 days from the day of delivery to return the above-mentioned items, provided that the item:

  • Is undamaged

  • Has not been filled or used

  • Is returned in its original condition and packaging

Memorial items that contain cremation ashes or hair – whether permanently fused or loosely placed – cannot be returned, even partially.

Urns or jewellery that have been personalized through sandblasting or engraving also cannot be returned.

Return Process

  • You must register your return by email.

  • Cancellation or changes to an order are only possible within 24 hours, as long as production has not yet started.

  • This also applies to products that are personalized with custom design elements, such as a name or symbol in sign-foil.

Shipping Costs

For customers in the Netherlands:
You will be refunded the full purchase amount.
The return shipping costs (from you to us) are at your own expense.

For customers outside the Netherlands:
Both the original shipping costs (from us to you) and the return shipping costs are entirely at your own expense.
Please note: import duties, customs fees, or administrative charges will not be refunded.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Even after the warranty has expired, we’re happy to help if something happens to your memorial piece.
Wear and tear or damage can occur over time, especially with frequent or intensive use.

Although the glass component itself is very strong, other parts like bands, clasps or chains may need replacement or repair as time goes on.

Depending on the situation, it’s often possible to restore or refresh your piece.
This may include replacing a band, repairing a clasp, or even replacing or adding new memorial beads.

You only pay for the new materials and – if applicable – the time required to rework or adjust the piece.
The original ashes or hair do not need to be resent.
Please note that shipping costs for sending and returning the piece are your own responsibility.

Not sure if a repair is possible? Feel free to contact us.
We’ll gladly look at the options together, think in solutions, and always provide a clear price estimate in advance.

We provide a 6-month warranty on every memorial piece made in our studio.
This applies to both the part in which ashes or hair are processed, and the materials used – such as leather bands, sailrope, clasps, chains, or other fittings.

If anything should go wrong with your piece within that 6-month period, please contact us right away.
We’ll ask you to send clear photos and a short description of the issue, so we can assess what’s going on.
If the problem is due to a production flaw, defect or material fault, we’ll of course repair or replace the item free of charge.

Normal signs of wear, small scratches or discolouration caused by daily use or contact with skin or clothing are not covered by this warranty.
These are considered standard wear and do not entitle you to a free replacement.

The glasswork or keepsake containing the ashes or hair is, in practice, virtually indestructible. These components are made with the utmost care and precision, making wear and tear highly unlikely.

Over time, materials like leather or sailrope may age or fade slightly – especially with intensive or daily use.
This is a natural material process, and not a sign of product failure.

When this occurs, we offer the option to replace the worn part – such as a new band, clasp or chain – either in the same or a different colour or style.
This gives your jewellery a fresh, updated look while keeping the original keepsake intact.

In that case, you only pay for the new material and the time needed to reassemble or adjust the piece – if applicable.
We’ll also advise you in advance about shipping costs, especially for international orders.

This is a durable and affordable way to give your memorial jewellery a second life – or to adapt it to a new chapter.

We also regularly receive requests to expand an existing piece with an additional memorial element – for example, to commemorate a second loved one or grandparent.
In that case, the original keepsake remains unchanged, and we create a new matching piece alongside it.

Do you have questions about updating or expanding your memorial piece?
Please feel free to contact us – we’re happy to think along with you.
We’ll always give a clear estimate in advance, so you know exactly what to expect.

Yes, in many cases that is possible.
Our memorial jewellery is designed in such a way that it can – if desired – be adjusted or expanded later on.

For example, it’s common for a piece to be extended with an additional memory bead, when a second loved one passes away.
The original part remains fully intact and the new element is carefully added to it.

You can also choose to refresh or update your piece – by replacing the band, chain or clasp with something in a new style or colour.
This gives the memorial piece a renewed look, while keeping its emotional value and symbolism.

For these types of adjustments, you only pay for the new material and the time needed to rework or remake the jewellery.
The original ashes or hair do not need to be sent again.

Please note: return shipping and resending the piece are at your own cost – especially for international orders.

Feel free to ask us about the options and pricing.
We’re always happy to help and advise you with care.

That’s absolutely possible. If you already know which design or item you are interested in, I can reserve it for you — completely without obligation — for up to 14 days. This gives you time to think things over or discuss your wishes without any pressure.

During this period, you can decide whether you want to proceed with the order, request any changes, or postpone it.
After 14 days, the reservation will expire automatically, unless you let me know you need a little more time — in that case, we can look at what’s still possible.

Just a short message via email or WhatsApp is enough to request a reservation.

Products & Personalisation

Can the urns be personalised?

Yes, nearly all of our urns can be personalised. This depends on the type of urn, but options typically include:

  • Adding a name or short text (for example: Mama, Opa Jan, or a date)

  • Applying an image using durable photo sign-foil, such as a butterfly, bird, heart or musical symbol

  • Sandblasting

  • Choosing a specific colour or symbolic design in glass

All personalisation is carried out with great care in our own studio, using high-quality techniques such as professional foil printing – or, in the case of custom work, a combination of advanced methods. For part of our unique collection, we also collaborate with other specialist glass artists.

This allows us to offer a broad and refined range of designs, where every detail is created by hand and finished with skill.

Note: The product page always indicates which personalisation options are available. Some urns can be personalised with just a name or image, while others can be adapted further on request.

Do you have specific wishes or are you unsure about what’s possible? Feel free to contact us.
We’re happy to help you create a personal and meaningful memorial item.

Yes, absolutely.
Do you have your own image, a unique symbol, a special colour scheme or another specific wish?
We’re happy to work with you to create a truly personal design.

For custom designs, the following always applies:

  • Together we’ll assess whether your idea is technically and aesthetically feasible

  • You’ll receive a clear price quote in advance

  • For designs requiring a customised image or symbol, digital editing is always done first, and a surcharge applies for the computer work involved

  • If possible, you will receive a digital proof for approval beforehand, so you can see what the design will look like

  • The processing time may be slightly longer than for standard personalisation options

For fully handmade urns or unique designs – for example, based on your chosen colours, shape, text or decoration – the price is determined only after all details have been discussed and confirmed.
You’ll then receive a clear and realistic price estimate, tailored to your unique design.

Custom work is only carried out on request and always in close consultation.
We want to be sure that the final result fits your vision and honours your memory.

Do you have something special in mind? Feel free to contact us – we’ll gladly explore the possibilities with you and always inform you in advance about any extra costs or production time.

For custom-designed pieces made in collaboration with other glass artists, a longer processing time applies.
These items usually take around 8 weeks, depending on the design and the planned glasswork sessions.

Yes, absolutely.
Every glass component of our memorial jewellery is made with the greatest care and expertise, torch-formed by hand in my own studio.
I use techniques specifically developed to create safe and wearable glass jewellery.

Hollow glass beads are never blown too thin, in order to maintain strength and prevent fragility.
This creates a perfect balance between elegance and durability – resulting in lasting jewellery that’s comfortable and secure to wear.

Once formed, the glass is annealed in a professional glass kiln, which slowly cools the piece under controlled conditions.
This eliminates internal tension and makes the glass stable and suitable for daily use.
After annealing, each piece is inspected and refined by hand to meet the highest quality standards before being shipped.

Although glass may seem fragile, this process makes it surprisingly strong.
In my experience, glass jewellery – even those containing cremation ashes or a lock of hair – holds up very well under normal daily use.

To this day, I have never seen one of my handmade beads break due to regular use.
Even an accidental tap or light knock against a table edge won’t immediately cause visible damage:
the glass is built for strength, carefully annealed and professionally finished.

Beyond being safe and durable, glass also offers something rare: brilliance.
Its clarity, depth and colour give each piece a personal, luminous presence.
And when combined with the memory inside, it becomes a piece that is both emotionally meaningful and artistically strong.

Every glass keepsake is made with great care – never mass-produced, but carefully torchworked by hand with skill and love.

Yes, absolutely.
Many of our jewellery pieces and mini-urns are suitable for incorporating a lock of hair.
This can be done in various ways – for example:

  • in a hollow glass bead

  • in a sealed stainless steel pendant

  • or in a mini-urn that can be worn as a necklace

The hair always remains completely intact – nothing is burned or fused unless you specifically request it (and if technically possible).
In most cases, the hair is placed visibly, often embedded in resin or combined with glass, depending on the chosen design.

How do I send in a lock of hair?

After placing your order, you’ll receive clear instructions on how to package and send the hair safely and respectfully.

A pencil-thick lock of about 5 cm (2 inches) is usually sufficient.

In most countries, sending a lock of hair by post is legally allowed, and most shipping carriers accept it, provided it is well packaged and properly labeled.

Important notes:

  • You are always responsible for the safe shipment of the hair

  • We cannot guarantee problem-free delivery, but we’ll provide practical tips and careful instructions to minimise risks

  • Shipping is an important step – we recommend using our guidance to pack the hair securely and reduce the chance of delay or loss

Yes, even a small amount of cremation ashes is often enough to create several memorial items.
Many families choose to divide the ashes among siblings, close friends, or parents.

Let us know how many pieces you’d like to have made – we’ll gladly advise you on the appropriate amount of ashes needed for your order.

Daily Use & Practical Info

Is glass safe and strong enough to wear daily as jewellery?

Most of my memorial items are carefully designed for indoor use.
Due to the potential impact of long-term exposure to extreme weather conditions, they may become damaged if placed outside.

Personally, I believe that every memorial deserves a safe and protected indoor space – a place where it can be honoured in peace.

Only urns made from heavy materials, such as metal, stone or concrete, which are specifically designed for outdoor placement, may be suitable for use in a garden or on a grave. These must always be placed on a solid surface and be properly secured.

Not sure whether a specific item is suitable for outdoors?
Feel free to contact me – I’ll gladly help you choose a meaningful and respectful location.

⚠️ Please note:
Placing a memorial piece outdoors is always at your own risk.

Our jewellery is made from high-quality materials, including:

  • 925 sterling silver

  • 14 karat gold

  • Surgical-grade stainless steel

  • Genuine leather

  • Sailrope

  • Natural stone

  • Resin

  • And of course, premium glass in which ashes or hair are fused or preserved

Each piece is handmade with precision and care.

Under the section Clear Answers, we also explain the different bracelet types and closure systems, so you can choose the style that best suits you and your memorial needs.

Yes, most of our memorial jewellery is fully waterproof
including hollow-blown glass designs in which cremation ashes or hair are placed.

We often use a screw system for hollow designs, in which a special closure is secured during the production process – sometimes fused directly into the glass.
This makes the jewellery (or mini-urn) airtight and completely waterproof.

In some cases, the screw closure is also carefully sealed with glue, to ensure long-term protection.

💧 To preserve your jewellery as beautifully as possible,
we recommend removing it before showering, swimming, or intense physical activity.
This way, the jewellery – and the memory it holds – will remain beautiful for many years to come.

Yes, absolutely.
Many of our memorial jewellery pieces are designed with subtlety and discretion in mind.
They often look like ordinary jewellery, containing just a small, symbolic amount of cremation ashes or hair – either hidden from view or placed in a visible compartment, depending on your preference.

You can wear them in a stylish and personal way – close to your heart –
without others knowing what the piece represents (unless you choose to share that meaning).

These designs are meant to be visible only to you, or to those you intentionally let in.

At the same time, discreet isn’t the only way to remember.
Some glass memorial pieces are intentionally bold – so-called statement pieces – giving the memory of your loved one a visible place in the world.

These designs tell a story – strong, personal and unique.
They are made to be worn proudly, to be seen and felt.

Whether subtle or bold, each piece becomes a meaningful tribute
an artistic monument worn close to the heart or on the wrist.
It’s this versatility that makes memorial jewellery so special:
it comes in many forms, but each is rich with symbolism and emotional depth.
