Specific description:

This glass urn features a transparent stem in which the cremation ashes are placed.
Delicate lilac orchids are attached to the stem, radiating an elegant and refined atmosphere with their soft shades.
On the stem, a white-and-lilac butterfly is also incorporated.

The cremation ashes are placed at home by the relatives in the transparent compartment of the urn.
If desired, very fine glass granules can be added, specially selected in colors that match the urn.
This can create a more subtle, colorful, and optically enhanced effect.

Please note: This urn is a larger model, but is also available in a smaller version.
For the smaller variant, the price and details are adjusted accordingly.

Important additional information about the photos

The photos shown depict real urns that have been delivered, placed here with the approval of families as examples.
These urns were created in collaboration with me and shared with the permission of the families
to serve as inspiration for new customers.
In these example urns, the cremation ashes were permanently fused into the glass during the glassblowing process,
which is why white flecks are visible in the ash chamber.

Your urn will be made in a different way: it will contain a small
hollow compartment that is blown into the glass, in which the cremation ashes can be placed loose.
This compartment is closed with a matching glass stopper, which can easily be secured with
transparent adhesive.

In your urn, the ashes are therefore not visible as white flecks, but instead as a
subtle grey tube. If desired, this can be pre-mixed with
colorful glass frits that match the colors of the urn.
This adds more intensity and a personal touch, but is optional.

Each urn is a unique glass artwork, featuring a hollow compartment in which a small symbolic amount of cremation ashes can be placed.
The urns are filled with water, creating a stunning optical effect that brings the glass art even more to life.
The water inside the urn always remains clear and does not evaporate, ensuring the artwork retains its beauty.

Because every urn is completely handmade, variations in color, shape, and detail may occur.
This ensures that each piece becomes a personal and exclusive memorial object, honoring the memory of a loved one.

Our glass urns are available in two models. The small model has a height of approximately 12 cm and a width of 9 cm,
while the larger model measures about 18 cm in height and 10 cm in width. Because each urn is entirely hand-blown,
the dimensions may vary slightly from these standard sizes.

The chosen size of the urn also determines how many details can be incorporated into the design.
In the smaller model there is less space available, which means fewer details can be realized compared to the larger model.
In the larger urn, however, there is more room to highlight patterns, colors, or symbols.

The cremation ashes are placed into the urn at home by the family.
The urn is suitable for a small symbolic amount of cremation ashes.
It is possible to add very fine glass frits, specially selected in colors that match the urn,
together with the ashes in the compartment.
This is optional, but it can give the urn a livelier and more colorful optical effect, adding depth and brilliance to the details.

Terms of delivery:

Delivery & filling of the urn

This glass urn contains a hollow compartment (often in the form of a transparent stem)
in which you can place a small symbolic amount of cremation ashes at home.

The urn is delivered empty and comes with clear step-by-step instructions
for filling and securely sealing. For most urns, 1 to 2 teaspoons of ashes are sufficient.
For urns with a drop-shaped compartment, this may – depending on the size of the urn and the drop –
hold up to 5 to 6 teaspoons.
The urn is supplied with a glass stopper that can be secured with transparent adhesive.
We advise which adhesive to use, but the adhesive itself is not included.

Each urn is entirely handmade and therefore always unique.
Details and colors may differ slightly from the model shown in the photo.
Because the compartment is intended for a small symbolic amount of ashes,
this urn is not only a memorial piece but also an artistic and decorative work of glass art.

Before the final details are applied to the urn, you will, if desired, receive a photo for approval.
This ensures that the chosen colors and symbols fully meet your wishes.

Ordering process

After confirming your order, you will receive an invoice by e-mail for prepayment.
Once payment has been received, you will receive a confirmation, and the production time of the urn is approximately 8 weeks.

Shipping

Your urn will be shipped by registered mail and very carefully packaged.
Shipping within the Netherlands and Belgium is free of charge.
For shipments outside these countries, we will inform you in advance of any additional costs.

Return policy

Urns in which cremation ashes have been placed or processed cannot be returned.
In the case of a valid return – where the urn is unused, undamaged, and returned in its original condition –
the purchase amount will be refunded. Please contact us in advance with any questions,
so that we can advise you on the possibilities.
