Description:

This men’s memorial bracelet is made with 8 mm Picasso Jasper gemstone beads, combined with stainless steel designer beads and a secure snap lock clasp with extra safety. At the centre of the bracelet is a handmade, sandblasted glass bead in which cremation ashes have been carefully fused. The ashes are not visible — they are discreetly and respectfully embedded into the glass.

If you would prefer a memorial bead in which the ashes remain visible, please contact me before placing your order — I’d be happy to discuss the options with you.

Please note: this is not a ready-to-ship item and cannot be filled at home. After placing your order, you will receive clear instructions on how to safely send a small amount of ashes (approximately 2 teaspoons is more than enough).

The bracelet is custom-made by hand in my studio, with the greatest care, attention, and respect. It is also suitable as a tribute to a beloved pet.

For customers outside the Netherlands: if you are sending ashes from abroad, please note that any remaining ashes cannot be returned. This is a conscious decision made to help reduce risks during international shipping.

Shipping Cremation Ashes from Outside the Netherlands (within the EU and from the USA)

You may send cremation ashes to us from most EU countries as well as from the United States for incorporation into a memorial item. We handle your package with the utmost care and respect. Please carefully read the following important information before proceeding:

Legally Permitted Within the EU and from the USA
It is legally permitted to ship small amounts of cremation ashes from within the EU and from the USA for incorporation into a piece of memorial jewelry or a glass urn.
This is only allowed under the condition that the ashes are not stored in an official urn and the amount is limited to just a few grams.

Important Distinction
Although it is legally allowed, carriers such as DHL, USPS, PostNL, and UPS do not permit cremation ashes in their shipments according to their terms and conditions.
This means that shipping is entirely at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged parcels. Before sending ashes, we recommend checking with your local carrier for their specific shipping regulations.

How Much Ash Is Needed?
For a single memorial item, no more than two teaspoons of ashes are ever required. A very small quantity is sufficient.

NO RETURN OF REMAINING ASHES – DUE TO THE INCREASED RISK WITH INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS, WE DO NOT RETURN ANY LEFTOVER CREMATION ASHES SENT FROM ABROAD. This policy helps to avoid loss, customs delays, or damage.
Any remaining ashes are respectfully scattered in a natural area near our studio.

Restrictions: No Cremation Ashes Allowed from Certain Countries
Due to national laws, it is not allowed to ship cremation ashes from the following countries:

Germany
Austria
France
From these countries, however, you may still:

Order an empty memorial product, or
Send hair for inclusion in a memorial item.
We provide clear instructions for both options. This allows you to create a meaningful keepsake within the legal framework of your country. If you have any questions about whether a specific piece of jewellery can include hair, or if you are looking for a self-fillable option, feel free to ask me – I’ll be happy to explore the possibilities with you.

Shipping Instructions (International)
After placing your order, you will receive a detailed shipping guide by email explaining how to safely prepare and send a small amount of ashes.
Please send the package as a small letterbox parcel, securely and discreetly packaged.

Even though it is legally permitted, carriers officially do not accept ashes, meaning you ship entirely at your own risk.

We strongly advise you to use neutral and discreet packaging, with no mention of “ash” or “cremation”.
If you are required to declare the contents of your parcel – for example on a CN22 or CN23 customs declaration form – we recommend using a neutral description such as “art supplies” or “jewellery component”.

Please note that this does not guarantee the parcel will not be inspected or returned.

If you’re unsure about your country’s rules, you may inquire at your local post office or shipping center for general parcel requirements.

Sending a Lock of Hair
Sending a lock of hair or a few strands is always allowed, both within the Netherlands and from abroad (including the USA).
There are no shipping restrictions for hair.
Hair can be safely sent in a small parcel, and you will receive clear instructions after placing your order.

Shipping Within the Netherlands
If you are located in the Netherlands, you will receive a prepaid shipping label by email after placing your order.
You can use this label to drop off your parcel at a DHL service point or mailbox.

Even within the Netherlands, you remain fully responsible for safe and proper shipping.
