Dual memorial bracelet for men – black Sail Rope with silver-tone stainless steel beads
This handcrafted men’s bracelet is made with a double-wrap black Sail Rope band (6 mm) and is specially designed as a meaningful memorial piece. It offers space for two separate memorial beads, each of which can hold cremation ashes or a lock of hair — the choice is entirely up to you.
You can choose to have ashes in both beads, hair in both, or a combination of ashes and hair. Each bead is individually crafted based on your personal wishes, ensuring a one-of-a-kind tribute.
The bracelet is secured with a silver-tone cap-and-cup sliding clasp, designed to prevent accidental opening from the outside — offering both safety and comfort for everyday wear.
Decorative silver-tone stainless steel designer beads with black line details are arranged along the band, firmly held in place by matching stainless steel silver spacers and black rubber stoppers.
As shown in the photos, one of the memorial beads contains visibly fused cremation ashes, while the other holds ashes that are semi-visible — subtly present for a more discreet appearance. Together, these elements create a deeply personal and tangible keepsake.

The bracelet contains two separate memorial beads, each with its own symbolic meaning.
You can decide what is placed in each bead – for example, two with cremation ashes, or one with a lock of hair and one with ashes.
Only a small amount is needed for each bead: approximately 2 teaspoons of cremation ashes or a lock of hair about 5 cm long and pencil-thick is more than sufficient.
Each piece is crafted in my studio with care, respect, and full attention. Both the ashes and the hair are processed separately and handled with the greatest care, so you can trust that your memories are in safe hands.
Important information for international orders:
- To reduce the risk during transport, any remaining cremation ashes will not be returned.
- For international shipments, the cremation ashes are always fused in a semi-visible (small amount) or non-visible way — also to minimise shipping risks.
- Hair is always visibly embedded in the bead, and any remaining hair will be carefully returned with the completed bracelet.
The photos shown are examples of the final result, but every memorial bracelet is unique.
Both cremation ashes and hair may vary in colour, texture, and visibility, resulting in a truly personal piece.

Legally permitted within the EU
It is legally permitted to send a small amount of cremation ashes within the European Union for use in memorial jewelry or urns – with the exception of Germany, Austria, and France. This is only allowed if the shipment does not involve an official urn and the amount is limited to just a few grams. You never need to send the full contents of an urn – a maximum of 2 teaspoons per memorial item is sufficient.
Important distinction – shipping at your own risk
Although legally allowed, most carriers (such as DHL, PostNL, and UPS) do not accept cremation ashes under their official shipping policies. Therefore, all shipments are made entirely at your own risk. We cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, or delay during transit.
How much is needed?
Only a small amount is required – no more than two teaspoons of ashes per memorial item.
No return of remaining ashes
Due to the risks involved with international shipping, any remaining ashes sent from abroad will not be returned. To prevent loss or delay of your memorial item, any leftover material will be respectfully scattered in a quiet natural area near our studio.
Exceptions – shipping ashes not allowed
Shipping cremation ashes is not legally allowed from the following countries:
- Germany
- Austria
- France
If you live in one of these countries, you may still order an empty memorial item or send a lock of hair for incorporation. After placing your order, you will receive clear instructions to help you create a meaningful keepsake that complies with local laws.
International shipping instructions
After placing your order, you will receive detailed email instructions on how to safely send a small amount of ashes. You will be asked to use a sturdy letterbox-sized box and follow our packaging guidelines to minimize the risk of damage or loss.
Please package your box discreetly and avoid using words such as “ashes” or “cremation” on the outside. You may use neutral terms such as jewelry components. Please note: this is not a guarantee of successful delivery.
If you are unsure about your country’s regulations, we recommend contacting your local postal service to ask about international shipping requirements.
Sending a lock of hair
Sending a lock of hair is always permitted – both from within the Netherlands and from abroad. You may safely send it in a small, sturdy letterbox-sized box. After placing your order, you will receive clear instructions by email.
If the chosen memorial item allows for hair incorporation, a length of approximately 5 cm (2 inches) and the thickness of a pencil is sufficient.
Shipping from the United States
It is legally allowed to send a small amount of cremation ashes from the United States to the Netherlands for incorporation into a memorial item. However, this is always done entirely at your own risk. Most U.S. carriers do not officially allow cremation ashes in their shipping policies.
After placing your order, you will receive detailed email instructions on how to safely pack and ship the material. We advise using a sturdy letterbox-sized box, and we strongly recommend not using terms like “ash” or “cremation” on the package. Instead, use general terms such as jewelry components. Please note: this does not guarantee successful delivery.
For shipments sent to countries outside the European Union – such as the United States – no VAT (21%) is charged at checkout. This means the total amount you pay will be lower than the listed price on the website.
Domestic shipping – within the Netherlands
For orders placed within the Netherlands, you will receive a DHL shipping label by email. You can drop off your package at any DHL service point.
Even within the Netherlands, you remain fully responsible for proper and secure shipping.
