This original Willow Tree figurine has been carefully adapted into a meaningful memorial piece. By adding a handcrafted glass mini urn, the figurine becomes a symbolic keepsake designed to hold a small amount of ashes or a lock of hair.

The urn is securely attached to or near the figurine using a discreet screw mount. In some cases – such as when the urn is placed on a hand – it may need to be glued. No glue is included, but I will provide a tip for a suitable transparent adhesive that allows for safe and nearly invisible attachment.

The figurine itself does not contain ashes – the urn is the actual commemorative element. The result remains subtle and in harmony with the soft, serene look of Willow Tree.

The mini urn can hold a symbolic amount of cremation ashes or a small lock of hair. If hair is used, it will remain fully intact – it is not fused into glass but carefully preserved within the hollow urn.

Attaching the urn is always done entirely at your own risk. In all cases, the process is carried out with the utmost care, respect, and attention.

Delivery after reveiving of the ashes

After placing your order for a Willow Tree figurine with a mini urn containing cremation ashes or a lock of hair, I will contact you personally via email. In this message, you will receive detailed instructions on how to prepare and send the ashes or hair.

For customers within the Netherlands, we provide a free digital shipping label for a mailbox parcel via DHL. This allows you to send a small amount of cremation ashes (maximum 2 teaspoons) or a lock of hair (about 5 cm long, pencil thickness) to us. The package can be handed in at a DHL drop-off point within 5 days. The information email includes exact size requirements and the nearest DHL location.

For customers outside the Netherlands, it is unfortunately not possible for us to provide a shipping label.
We are unable to provide specific advice on shipping methods or customs documentation.
We recommend contacting your local post office to ask how to safely and legally send a small package to the Netherlands according to their regulations.
Please note: all shipments of ashes or hair are sent entirely at your own risk.
We cannot be held responsible for loss, damage, or delay during transport.

You will receive an email from us asking you to confirm in writing by email that you agree to send the cremation ashes or hair and that you understand we cannot accept liability for them.
This only applies to the sent material – not the memorial item we craft for you, which of course is handled with the utmost care and responsibility.

For all Willow Tree figurines, you may also choose to receive the urn empty, so you can fill it yourself. In this case, the urn will be hollow-blown, and we will provide a clear instruction sheet and a small filling kit.
Please note: filling the urn is done entirely at your own risk.

In some cases, the mini urn is mounted on the figurine using a strong, transparent adhesive. If you choose to fill the urn yourself, this glue is not included, but we are happy to recommend a suitable type.

Any remaining ashes will not be returned for international shipments.
To minimize the risk of loss or delay of the memorial item, any remaining ashes will be stored for up to 6 months. If no further order for a new memorial item is placed within that time, the remaining ashes will be respectfully scattered in a natural area in Brabant (the Netherlands), where we often go for walks.

If you would like to receive a photo of the scattering, this is possible upon specific request.
Please enclose a handwritten note inside the package containing the ashes, clearly stating your name, email address, and telephone number, along with your request to receive a photo of the scattering.
Please note: simply including your name and order number does not automatically result in receiving a photo. A clear written request is required. A digital request or email is not sufficient.
